September 25, 2025 Special Session City Council Minutes

The Waukon City Council met in special session on September 25, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the council chambers of City Hall, 101 Allamakee Street and via Zoom technology. Mayor Arvid Hatlan presided. Council members present: Steve Wiedner, Dave Blocker(arrived at 4:37 PM), Tim Smedsrud, and Nick Engrav. Council members absent: John Lydon. Others present: Marketa Oliver, President, and Brent Hinson,Theia Management Consulting.

 

The mayor called the meeting to order.

To enter Closed Session: pursuant to 21.5 (1)(i) to conduct interviews for the position of Waukon City Manager, when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to those individuals’ reputations, where said individuals have requested a closed session.
