Youth Soccer
This program is for boys and girls in grades 1 - 6. Their games will be Saturday mornings starting April 20. Register by 20, it cost more after that. They will have practice after school or in the evening during the week, 2 or 3 times a week. We need volunteers to coach or officiate the games to make this program successful.

Kindergarten Soccer
The Waukon Park & Rec. Dept. is starting the Kindergarten Soccer Program for boys and girls. Their games will be Monday evenings at 6:30 starting April 15 for 5 weeks. Register by March 30 or it cost more after that. They show up at the designated time and will be shown different soccer drills that they will do with their teammates and then they will play a game for about 30 minutes. No practices any other time. they will play on a small field and it will be 3 on 3 games. We need volunteers to make this program successful.

Webster's Dictionary defines Sportsmanship as conduct becoming to a person who is fair, generous, a good loser, and a gracious winner.
In our fast-paced, ever changing world of technology, sometimes this virtue gets lost. It is part of our departments' goals to continue to provide positive programs and activities that foster this good sportsmanship. Educating kids and adults that all games need to be kept in perspective, trying your best, and having fun are the real reasons you should be participating in recreation activities.
